The Chieftain Staple 190 is an excellent all-rounder. With its characteristic cut-off mouth and minimal weighting, it sits horizontally on the surface, unlike many other floating sticks that lie with their tails down. The Chieftain Staple is easy to fish all day long: whether with long strokes, pop or linear, the lure digs in just below the surface and swims seductively, even in waves or rough seas where most traditional floating lures cannot be used effectively.
