Venezuela offers a variety of opportunities for sea fishing, thanks to its extensive coastline along the Caribbean Sea. In recent years fish stocks have rebounded thanks to some new laws. Ligh tackle fishing along the coast of Venezuela is very good and also popping for tarpon and yellowfin can be rewarding. Jigging however is not really popular however there are many species like amberjack & big groupers which can be targeted.

Some popular locations for sea fishing in Venezuela include:

1.Margarita Island: This is a popular destination for anglers, known for its diverse marine life. You can find a variety of fish species, including tarpon, snapper, grouper, and more.

2. Los Roques Archipelago: This national park consists of numerous small islands and cays. It’s renowned for its pristine waters and is a fantastic spot for flats fishing. Bonefish, permit, and tarpon are some of the prized catches in this area.

3. Puerto La Cruz: Situated on the northeastern coast, Puerto La Cruz is another popular fishing destination. It offers a mix of inshore and offshore fishing, with opportunities to catch snook, snapper, kingfish, and more.
