Fishing Cape Town
The region around Cape Town offers very varied fishing. Due to the currents of the Indian Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean an enormous number of fish live here, many of which can be caught with artificial bait.
Offshore, mahi-mahi and yellowfin tuna are the most common fish species in summer. Inshore, besides the popular steenbras, there are big jewfish and bluefish along the endless beaches. Especially softbaits are unbeatable here!
