GT FISHING in DJIBOUTI

Djibouti, a small country with a huge military presence at the horn of Africa, is without any doubt one of the last frontiers for GT fishing. Because of its position between the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea, the sea is extremely rich in terms of nutrients. Furthermore the spots are still untouched by industrial fisheries, making this place really unique and pristine. Popping is very productive, while jigging is difficult because of the strong currents. The best thing about Djibouti: it’s probably the best spot for landbased popping, every year monster GTs are caught at the Seven Brother Islands.
