Fishing in Saudi Arabia

Only recently Saudi Arabia has allowed tourists to enter the country. Here you can still find many spots which are not overfished. GT fishing in Saudi Arabia can be an exciting and rewarding experience. The country offers a variety of coastal and offshore locations where GTs can be targeted. Shore fishing is not so easy as most coastal area is not accessible for private people.

Best spots:

1. Coast around Jiddah:

   – many good charters specialized in popping & jigging can be found in the city. The jigging for dogtooth can be very good, so don’

   – Target rocky outcrops, coral reefs, and drop-offs where GTs often hunt for prey.

2. Farasan Islands:

   – The Farasan Islands, located in the Red Sea, offer one of the best fisheries in the Red Sea.

   – Fish around the rocky shores, channels, and underwater structures. Flats fishing can be a lot of fun    w  with light tackle                                                                 

3. Dammam and Khobar Corniches:

   – The Eastern Province, including Dammam and Khobar, has productive fishing areas along its corniches.

   – Fish around piers, jetties, and rocky structures for GTs. Light tackle fishing for bream and other species is also very productive.
