Socotra fishing

GT Fishing Socotra

Called the Galapagos of the Indian Ocean, Socotra Island is one of the prime spots for GT Fishing. The incredible thing about this island is the average size of the Giant Trevallies, which is around 35 Kilogram, with fish up to 60 Kilogram caught every year. However it would be foolish to limit the fishing on Socotra to GTs. Virtually all sport fish in the Indian Ocean, except for Dogtooth Tuna and Napoleon, can be caught here in trophy-sizes. Concerning jigging, the potential has only been scratched on the surface. In the depths around the islands huge Amberjack, Grouper, Snapper and many more trophy sized fish are lurking in the deep.
